Are you Fall-Proof ?
And just like that we’re in September, can you believe it?
Temperatures are slowly decreasing as days become shorter. On the bright side, plenty of holidays are just around the corner.
With every season change our Team gets together to plan ahead and prepare your property for the upcoming months.
Here are some tips and advice for you and your clients:
Perform the seasonal maintenance of your HVAC system or boiler. Right now the weather is great, but trust me, you don’t want to receive an angry phone call from your tenant because the heat isn’t working a few weeks from now. HVAC companies and plumbers are still very busy, schedule an appointment ahead of time to avoid future issues
Get your seasonal supplies. Yes, it’s still early for snow and ice, but these items are selling out REALLY fast mid-season. Sadly the Covid-19 pandemic still seems far from being over, as temperatures drops and risk of infections will increase, we are stocking up on PPE and cleaning supplies in case of unexpected shortage like we saw in March/April.
Review your leases and plan ahead. It’s not a secret that inventory is rising in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and almost everywhere else in the city. If your tenant is planning to move out and their lease expires during the fall-winter season, make sure to have a plan of action in place. Consult your trusted agent who know what’s happening in the area and price your property wisely.
